In order to fully appreciate the origins of the Akashic Record we will take a journey to explore the many differences of this extraordinary quandary where uncanny meets the unexplainable. The meaning behind this one word is powerful enough to lure many into a spiritual realm, that some may feel borders blasphemy, yet to others a sense of validation. Upon beginning my studies I immediately found a reservoir of information and within minutes I was navigating through a mountain of historical information that contradicted itself continuously. Deep within my journey oftentimes what seemed conclusive data was, in fact material the personal conclusion of each author. Therefore, with the eagerness and excitement writer’s relate to, the following is my review of this most perplexing historical puzzle.
Akashic (“The Mind of God”) is a derivative from Sanskrit (“The Language of God”) an Indo-European language whose roots date back to the earliest of times meaning B.C. or before Christ. Sanskrit and Akashik or AKasha are almost identical in definition as you see above. They are also described as, “sky“, “space“, or “aether” (the ancient Greek personification of the clear upper air of the sky a.k.a. an ethereality; a heavenly celestial existence that is “tapped” into by the clairvoyant. There are records of possibly the first proto-Sanskrit artifacts found during a 1920’s excavation in Harappa located within the Indus River valley in India. During this excavation scholars such as Cunningham in 1877, thought the system was the archetype of the Brahmi script. Many excavations would follow and more artifacts unearthed revealing proof of an advanced civilization around 1010-1015 B.C., inclusive of urban cities with well laid out streets, elaborate drainage systems, public baths, residential areas, administrative and religious centers with enclosed meeting halls and granaries. Among the artifacts excavated were small square seals with engraved human and animal patterns some bearing pictographic inscriptions that are generally found to be ancient script unfortunately, these findings remain un-deciphered. Nonetheless, some are thought to be of the Brahim “language” family (which denotes those of the highest class of people among the Hindus and a “language” family of which proto-Sanskrit existed). Within this research these artifacts dated to a time when a mass amount of people had migrated into Harappa. They basically subsisted within different ethnic, linguistic, and religious heritage groups therefore “language” families were developed in order for people to co-exist. It is important to note that Harappa may well have been the first democracy that existed within that time period which makes one wonder, where did this advanced knowledge come from?
Sanskrit seems to have been some form of aesthetic religious communication between those considered the most devout, literate and highly educated. Anyone using this sub-language would have to have been pre-authorized by either a council, individuals with authority, or perhaps God. Further, I have found no information as to whether Sanskrit was reserved for the Brahim “Language” family (inclusive of Sanskrit) or permitted for the pious and highly educated within other “language” families as well.

During the times before Christ people were either ruled by a hereditary sovereign, or a religious creed. However religious historians compel us to understand the role of God during ancient days. There is an excellent article “Noah and Human Etymology”, written by Bengt Sage that lends further credence to my theory as he connects Sanskrit to Noah. His well-founded argument serves to validate my theory of Sanskrit as a religious language, perhaps a language of God, provided only to those worthy of such a right. This sub-language espoused a sense of beauty much like a painting you would view in a museum today or the art of poetry. There are many aspects of the word literary, one being: ‘an art form which would depict a story’, similar to ancient artifacts. There is a passion surrounding this form of communication and as I write I sense a purity about it, there is a marked difference something which sets it apart from other “language” families that would not allow its transition into a language of its own for many centuries. Perhaps it needed a rite of passage from the religious to the secular elite.
King Amoghavarsha I (800-878 B.C.) was a religious minded emperor of India who began his reign at the age of sixteen and ruled for 64 years. His rule was the longest period and precisely monarchical rein on record. If this is in deed true than he began his reign at the age of 14 if we are going by the dates; 800-878 B.C. as listed above. He was known as a man of letters, an accomplished poet, a scholar, and a leader honored and loved dearly by his people. Because of his religious temperament, his interest in the arts and literature and his peace loving nature, he has been compared to other leaders and thought of as one of the four greatest. Many Sanskrit scholars prospered during his rule as he had a love of this sub-language and the beauty that it emanated. In his later years, after distancing himself from the affairs of the state, he composed a work in Sanskrit entitled “Prashnottara Rathnamala“. He co-authored this writing with his court poet though we must consider his age when this was written. It would be prudent to entertain the idea that he sought out a writer not a co-author. As far as the first writings in Sanskrit there are different claims and/or theories. The first of which I considered was the dig in Harappa in the 1920’s when artifacts were found and thought by some scholars to be proto-Sanskrit and dated around 1010-1015 B.C. (these dates vary depending on the research source). If they in fact are found to be of the Brahim “language” family then these would be the first writings found as proto-Sanskrit.
There are many things that fascinate me about the origins of Sanskrit, specifically during every new development or lead I followed, this sub-language inevitably would be related by the author to spirituality or spiritual rituals. My conclusion: Sanskrit was more likely used to differentiate ones level of spiritual enlightenment rather than as language is used today. It was continually reserved for those considered of a higher class or education, which would denote religious experts of the time. We would have to have lived within their society to truly understand their guidelines used in regards to societal criterion or how they separated classes of people especially when dealing with so many “language” families. It is worthy to note that in centuries past religious leaders were always set apart from other members of the community and regarded as higher class and more learned individuals. They were privy to printed materials, histrionics, etc., in respect to religious rituals and the like, though the general public was not. This continues to place Sanskit within the religious community and/or profession, presently Sanskrit is assumed to be practiced as a ceremonial language in Hindu and Buddhist teachings in the form of Hymns and Mantras. It is considered to be the oldest recorded member of the Indic branch ofIndo-European language which is the combination of the religious languages of India and Europe.
Edgar Cayce who lived during the 1900’s was considered a clairvoyant physic and answered questions while in a deep trance on healing, reincarnation, wars, Atlantis, and future events. These answers came to be known as “life readings of the entity”. This ability gave him the nickname “The Sleeping Prophet” and at times he was referred to consulting the Akashic Record or etheric imprint of that soul’s experience. Other abilities that have been attributed to Cayce include astral projection, prophesying, mediumship, viewing the Akashic Records or “Book of Life”, and seeing auras. Cayce said he became interested in learning more about these subjects after he was informed about the content of his readings, which he reported that he never actually heard himself. The “Book of Life” which Edgar Cayce referred to may very well have been the “Hall of Records” that is purported to be buried in Egypt under the Great Sphinx of Giza . He stated that he visited this site, via astral projection, thousands of times and received much information as it is also referred to as the Akashic Record; which is purported to hold every thought, action, all world events human and animal, past, present and future. The Akashic Record is also referred to as a mythical library housed with the knowledge of the Egyptians by papyrus scrolls inclusive of historical information regarding the lost continent of Atlantas. Like Edgar Cayce we also have to be in a hypnotic state such as hypnapompic (from sleep), hypnogogic (to sleep), or another type of meditative state in order to access the Akashic Record. It is only during these times that our brain waves are changing and allow for lucid dreaming, hallucinations, sleep paralysis and astral projection.
My personal journey has taken me many places in and out of hypnotic states but I will never have a desire to know the mind of God or His language, the mind He has given me is more than enough to deal with. It is my opinion, after much research, that this was never to be taken in a literal sense but rather as an expression of the language itself; a finite form of spiritual communication mandated by God and passed down through the centuries to the religious sovereignty. The notion that one is inherently permitted access to an ethereal channel to God is absurd, for who could understand or read the mind of their father? Could one go to another and say, “I know your thoughts and actions from the day of your birth until death?” Of course not, if you search the Akashic the obvious disparity that lay within will reveal truth. There have been many who have told of future events, some were correct but many more were wrong. Why? Because we all have free will and our choices decide our future. God alone knows all that is before us and the consequences of each decision we make. If He created the Akashic than I am convinced it is a reservoir of knowledge attainable only to those who have reached a level of irrefutable spiritual maturity.
Meditate, allow yourself to be still while you learn to silence your thoughts, then God enters through the whisper of His Spirit. This is what we truly seek, the originator of our gifts, in finding Him we find the answers to our destiny.
Question: When was Sanskrit brought into full development? Who was the inventor of the Sanskrit language? How old is Sanskrit as a language and when was it first written down? HDG: Sanskrit, like other languages, …
